Sketched during my vacation to Cincinati.

A photographer friend I was traveling with commented "For every one shot you'll find of a person smiling, you'll find at least twenty people not." And it stuck with me. So I determined myself to do a genuinely happy image.

The rest drew itself, as Naruto has one of the most darling smiles in the world. And what would make him give a nice, broad, sincere smile? His Hokage pendant. And seeing him that happy would likely make Jiraiya just as happy. (Heh, Jiraiya-sama has crow's feet . ^_^) So... happy-a-thon.

Naruto: "Y'know, I really like this thing..."
Jiraiya: "Heh. You don't say..."

(Sort a continuation of my Family image, since I just love the awkward but caring triangle Jiraiya, Tsunade and Naruto make. Their clothes are a vague reference to a much earlier fanart I did of these two.)

Your pencilwork is as usual without doubt excellent. Interesting realism in this one, too. Adore the details, clothing especially, and the warm feeling.

I really really love their smiling faces. :3 They're incredibly expressive characters as it is, and you've just nailed it. Such a different relationship between this pair and that of Naruto and Tsunade, while still precious and necessary in their lives.

....n__n Those smiles are really nice indeed, I'm especially loving Jiraiya's. I also really like how you did Naruto's whiskermarks, and all the detail here is just amazing. Plaid :heart:
